Orbit does not currently use optional advertising or analytics cookies and does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Essential service providers may use cookies or similar technology to operate, secure, and protect the website.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file a website or service provider may store in your browser. Similar technologies include security tokens, pixels, local storage, and device or network signals.

Orbit's website code does not currently set preference, advertising, or analytics cookies. Forms may load Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. Turnstile processes browser, device, network, interaction, and security signals and issues a short-lived verification token. Depending on Cloudflare's configuration, it may also use an essential security cookie. Railway and related infrastructure providers may process ordinary request logs needed to deliver and secure the website.

These technologies are used only for service operation, fraud and spam prevention, security, troubleshooting, and reliability. We do not use them to build advertising profiles or track visitors across unrelated websites.

California Notice at Collection

At or before you submit a form, Orbit may collect the following categories of personal information. We use and retain each category only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described below.

Identifiers and business contact information

Examples include your name, email address, company, title, website, and project or service location. We use this information to respond to you, evaluate the request, communicate about potential services or introductions, keep business records, and comply with law. Inquiry records are generally intended to be retained for up to three years after the last meaningful interaction, or longer when needed for an active engagement, a legal obligation, dispute resolution, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.

Commercial and professional information

Examples include project needs, contractor types, capabilities, service territory, licensing states, business history, workforce, project range, insurance or safety readiness, and procurement requirements. We use it to evaluate potential fit, source or assess vendors, make requested introductions, and administer business relationships. It is generally retained under the same criteria as the related inquiry or engagement.

Communications and submitted content

This includes messages, project summaries, and other information you choose to provide. We use it to understand and respond to your request and maintain an appropriate record of the communication. It is generally retained under the same criteria as the related inquiry or engagement.

Internet, device, and security information

This may include IP address, a one-way hash derived from an IP address, browser or device information, request logs, security signals, and a short-lived Turnstile token. We use it to deliver the website, prevent spam and abuse, enforce rate limits, troubleshoot, and protect the service. Orbit retains the IP-derived hash with the related inquiry under the inquiry retention criteria. Verification tokens are used transiently, and provider logs are retained under the applicable provider's operational schedule.

Sensitive personal information

Orbit does not request Social Security numbers, government identifiers, account credentials, financial account information, precise geolocation, or sensitive documents through public forms. Please do not submit W-9s, licenses, insurance certificates, or similar records through this website. If such information is submitted unexpectedly, we will use it only to address the submission and will delete or restrict it when reasonably practicable, subject to legal obligations.

Sources and recipients

We collect information directly from you and automatically from your browser, device, or network when the website or security service operates. We may disclose information for the purposes described above to:

• hosting, database, security, and email-delivery providers, including Railway, PostgreSQL service providers, Cloudflare Turnstile, and Resend;
• enterprise clients, vendors, or professional resources when relevant to an introduction or service you requested;
• professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and security, or complete a business transaction involving Orbit.

Orbit does not sell these categories of personal information and does not share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. Orbit does not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about a person.

Your privacy choices and U.S. state rights

Depending on your state of residence and whether its law applies to Orbit, you may have the right to request access to or a copy of personal information, correction, deletion, or information about how it is used and disclosed. Applicable law may also provide rights to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, to limit certain uses of sensitive information, to use an authorized agent, to appeal a denied request, and to receive equal service without discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

Orbit does not currently sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or engage in qualifying profiling. To make a request, email info@orbitconsulting.biz with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and describe your request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful exception.

Browser signals and controls

You can use browser settings to view, block, or delete cookies. Blocking essential security technology may prevent a protected form from working. Because Orbit does not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, Global Privacy Control and similar opt-out signals do not change the website's current practices. If those practices change, Orbit will treat legally recognized signals as required by applicable law.

Some browsers also send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no generally accepted response standard for that signal, and this website does not respond to it separately. Orbit does not use its own code to track a visitor's activity over time across unrelated websites.

Children's privacy

This business-to-business website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Orbit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact us to request deletion.

Updates and contact

We may update this disclosure when our technology, data practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version here, revise the effective date, and provide any additional notice required by law.
